The East of England Clinical Senate supported Mid and South Essex Health and Care Partnership by providing independent clinical advice on their proposals for the future configuration of community inpatient beds resulting from the urgent service changes made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme is focused on community beds and has three distinct strands: intermediate care, stroke rehabilitation and sub-acute frailty.
