Specialised Pancreatic Cancer services within Yorkshire and the Humber are delivered in 3 specialist centres, only one of which is compliant with the minimum population required. Specialised commissioners reviewed and evaluated the current model with the intention of commissioning a revised, compliant model. The Senate was asked to advise on the clinical components of the service model and to identify opportunities for improvement and any risks, issues, opportunities or concerns that the commissioner should consider in the development of the options for the future service.
