The review, commissioned by University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL), to support completion of their Pre-Consultation Business Case to secure capital funding and commence public consultation on plans to reconfigure the acute hospitals onto two sites. The review sought opinion on whether: (1) the proposals were sound based on clinical sustainability, workforce and clinical outcomes (2) the five year bed bridge (transient flexible bed base) would deliver a robust and clinically safe solution in the acute trust (3) the community clinical models that will be put in place would support this bed transition.
