Following the Senate report published in April 2016 which considered the earlier stages of this work, a future direction of travel for vascular services across Yorkshire and the Humber was developed by the commissioners. The Senate was asked to carry out a further review of the proposal in order that it could advise whether it was supportive of the clinical model and proposed configuration of services; identify any clinical concerns or adverse impacts relating to the proposal; provide clinical recommendations to mitigate any adverse clinical impacts and ensure the safe and sustainable transition of services to the proposed configuration.
